About
Jennifer’s first experience of the magical power of flowers occurred when she was a four year-old flower girl at her aunt’s wedding. “Just before I walked down the aisle, I was handed a bouquet of white roses,” she remembers. “It was like that bouquet transformed me from a shy little girl in a white dress to a princess in a fairy-tale.”
The sparkle Jennifer felt when she held those roses never went away. She’s been joyfully giving and receiving flowers ever since. During her twenty-five years as a stay-at-home mom, whenever Jennifer needed a hostess gift, a birthday arrangement, or a centerpiece for her own table, she quickly thought, “Another chance to buy flowers!”
Drawing on the joy she felt when she arranged tulips, hydrangeas, and roses in simple glass vases, Jennifer took a two-day course at the FlowerSchool New York shortly after her youngest child left for college. Jennifer loved it all: conditioning the flowers, learning the different kinds of arrangements, and balancing the color and textures in bouquets. That first course led to a second course, and eventually to the FlowerSchool’s accredited floral design program. As part of the program, Jennifer interned at the Park Avenue flagship of Renny & Reed.
In 2017, Jennifer opened her own studio in Austin, “I want to share my passion for beauty and hospitality with friends and clients, and contribute a natural elegance to their weddings, holiday gatherings, birthday celebrations, luncheons, and dinner parties.”
